I think this top is lovely and the simplicity of the piecing leaves the quilting choices wide open. Love the fabrics though. I've done two similar quilts - one with straight lines 1/4 inside and outside blocks. The other was diagonal lines through the corners. Both looked nice. You could do her basic swirls in the squares to give them some texture and slightly wiggly lines in the sashing. I would keep to matching/blending thread to make the fabric the focal point. Just a thought.
