That`s My World - The Sea Kelp Gatherer

Is this where those fancy pots of anti-aging creams begin? This woman is doing the back breaking work of collecting sea kelp on the Atlantic Coast of Morocco, which is then sold for use in cosmetics.

  1. Back-breaking work so I can be wrinkle free. Amazing colors and shadows, too.

  2. What a fantastic capture! And my back is aching just looking at her -- not sure my wrinkles are worth her labor, but I am appreciative! Welcome to My World and the weekly fun! I look forward to seeing more of your photos! Hope you have a great week!

  7. A well composed and informative picture - great colours too. She deserves to be well paid (which I doubt she is).

  8. Like rice-field workers, this is a back-bending way to earn a living. I'm not deluded enough to buy those cream pots of promises. Fine DOF in your shot.

  9. Beautiful photo. It reminds me of a photo I took of a similar aged woman collecting salt on the shore of a lake in Kenya. Thank you for visiting my blog. Your blog is delightful!
