Shadow Shot Sunday
It`s that time of the week when shadow shots are shared here. I`ve missed Shadow Shot Sunday for a couple of weeks now and I`m keen to get back. September is sewing month and so I`ve hardly used my camera. I miss that too. During the summer months I did no sewing but snapped away continuously. Now the tables have been turned, I seem unable to do the two together. It`s either or.
I took this photo at the Majorelle Gardens a year or so ago. When you come to visit..and you must, I insist, you`ll love your trip to Yves. Saint Laurent`s gardens. They are an oasis.
The shadows are subtle but they are there. There may even be a frog...if you look carefully.
Oh, that's beautiful -- and I love the little frog!
ReplyDeleteI am a city girl BUT I have a soft spot for little frogs. A few years back we lived in an odd old house that had been relocated from one part of town to the other in the 1920s -- when a narrow river was rerouted and houses placed in the former edges of the riverbed. Our garden soil was gorgeous -- dark, rich river silt -- and a little frog lived in the shadow of our downspout. I guess his ancestors decided NOT to relocate.
I love your photo!

Great shot! Sitting here at 0230 in the morning looking for a frog because I can't sleep. At least I am having fun.
ReplyDeleteYou take beautiful pictures, I particularly love the shot of the sunset and the fishing man, it speaks of peace at the end of a working day.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo and excellent choice for black and white.
ReplyDeleteRegards and best wishes
Lovely photo, very worthy of hanging up on the wall. yes, I did find the frog (took me a little while though).
ReplyDeleteI see him!
ReplyDeleteLovely shot, and the new header is so peaceful too x
I really like your shot and I love that you have done it in black and white and I can see the frog.
ReplyDeleteI also like your main picture of the men fishing in the sunset.
It's a shame we can't do all that we want at the same time isn't it. If you ever understand how to do it please let me know :))
beautiful photo. I just love your pink and purple blocks in Wednesdays post, great fabrics too!
ReplyDeleteyour photo is lovely. i used to be able to only do one or the other. but i'm able to fairly consistently do both now. i don't know when the shit happened, but i'm glad it did.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful shot, Annabella!! (Hello little frog!)
ReplyDeleteI'm the same way - have a hard time focusing on more than two activities at the same time, and I'm sewing, too. So, the camera has been left behind for a bit.
LOVE the new header!!
I love these lily pads and the way the light is shining in them, and a very cute little frog.
ReplyDeleteLovely shot and yes I see the little frog!
ReplyDeleteI do see the frog. Pretty shot!
ReplyDeleteIndeed, there is a frog! Bless the shadowy little critter!
ReplyDeleteMY SHADOWY FRIEND
My shadow and I are very best friends;
We walk hand in hand, though the sidewalk ends.
No matter the time of day or of night,
My shadow and I will always stick tight.
We don’t even think of drifting apart,
For shadow and I are one soul and one heart.
To have such a friend is heaven, you see,
For I love my shadow, and shadow loves me.

I see the frog! Love the black and white image. Nice shadows. Happy Sunday!
ReplyDeletewhat a great shot-we have a toad (I think) that lives under the decking: we dont have a pond, so rather worringly it must be really damp around my house, he has lived here for years
ReplyDeleteLove the new picture for your blog header, fantastic colours
ha! I squealed out loud when I spied the frog!!! I find much beauty in this photo, beginning with the light. some of the lily pads glow. but the tiny frog perched there? that's the icing. happy day to you Annabella.
ReplyDeleteI visited last year. it was beautiful :)
ReplyDeletehow peaceful + lovely! it reminds me of the lake my husband grew up with, with lily pads galore + frogs too!
