Fresh Sewing Day

It feels like I am slowly getting back in to the swing of blogging, blog reading and commenting. I've almost finished my first year as an EFL teacher and lesson planning is not occupying so much time, which means more sewing!

Okay so I'm not saying I became super productive or anything but:
  • I finished my AMH Hand Drawn Garden plus quilt
  • I made, yes made the Amy Butler Window to the Soul quilt in less than 2 weeks! (Full reveal soon)
  • I made progress on my Tula Pink Modern City Sampler blocks
  • I made a couple of blocks and received the last of my Stitch Tease Modern Maple blocks
  • my mum offered to paint a pile of my quilts
  • and most importantly, we celebrated Zaki's 6th birthday
Looking at this mosaic, it was a colourful month.

Linking up with Lynne's Fresh Sewing Day.

PS - did you know that bloke up there top right has just nicked your quilt? ;-)

  8. Lovely quilting, especially the Tula one. Hope your little man had a good birthday. My littlest boy will be six this week, it's a very happy age I think!

  10. You had a great month! I'm assuming too, that after the first year there's at least a certain amount of lesson planning that you can reuse for the subsequent years?

  11. You've been so productive Annabella! I'm a teacher too. I know how much time prep takes up, although I struggle more with marking. I don't think I touched my machine in May! With your extreme heat, do you have any air conditioning? I know it's probably not common in your country, but wondered if you had anything like that. I lived in more central part of Australia for ten years and we really struggled without air con in the 40+ days. once we had a baby we thought it wasn't suitable. But then our house want made out of the thick stone yours appear to be.
