Pay It forward

A few weeks ago I signed up for Toni's Pay It Forward.

Toni was looking for 3 people to agree to have something made for them in the coming year.  A little surprise something that would pop through their letterbox at any given time.  A little something made by Toni.  I'd been reading her blog for a while and always loved her makes, so I signed up and kind of forgot about it.  Well yesterday while the little guy was having a rare and welcome siesta...

there was a ring at the door.  A parcel from Toni!

A gorgeous 241 bag made out of Joel Dewberry's Heirloom (which I love in the citrine palette and I adore paisley) and some gorgeous natural linen, a couple of FQs and some chocs!  How lucky am I?  Thank you so so much Toni - the bag is so beautifully made, totally my colors and so at home here in sunny Marrakech!

So now it's over to me.  I am shamefully red faced to be putting this up when I've received my PIF but better late than never I guess.

I'm looking for 3 people to make something lovely for during the next 365 days.  I shall email the first 3 people to comment saying that they would like to play asking them for their details.  The deal is that they in turn agree to make something for 3 other people in the coming year.  Sorry but you have to have a blog to play.

If you simply want to leave a comment saying how lovely a) my son is b) the bag is or c)both are, then that's fine too.  I know this has been doing the rounds in the blogosphere but I hope 3 people will step up as it's a fun thing to do and you have a year!

Hi Annabella

I would love to play along, this is the first time I have seen this on the blogosphere (where have I been?).

I have been thinking about making the 241 bag for a while, it looks so nice in those fabrics. Did the chocolates arrive OK, I would've thought they might melt?

Oh I totally avoided signing up for these a few months ago because I was so busy, but now I'd really love to take part!

That 241 tote is gorgeous, and I love that colour way too (although I thus far haven't succumbed to buying, I can see it won't be long...) And, of course, Zaki is very cute lying all bundled up there, wish I could still nap like that!

I'm just posting to say your wee chap is so cute - lucky thing to be able to have a nap midday. Your new bag is lovely too. Hope you manage to get three people to sign up. Sounds like fun!!!

(a) Your son is beautiful. (b) That bag is fab. (c) Aren't you supposed to be in Paris right now?

I think you know I've done a PIF so as much as I would love a make from you I am not signing up again. Sorry!

Hello Miss Annabella

Lovely photo of the scrumpet bum of a son - gorgeous.

The bag is a beautiful gift for anyone.

I can see others have beaten me to it but I would be happy to sign up if someone else ever dropped off.
I would be not quilting though if that is ok.

Hoping you are well :)

Have a wonderful day,

loulou, from hereiamloulou blog

What a lovely idea. There are some really generous people out there in the quilty world. Your son is absolutely adorable. There's something about a child with their thumb in their mouth that makes you melt inside.
