100th Postaversary Giveaway - I Can`t Wait Any Longer!

Highlights from the first 99 posts
I always said I would never have a blog and then I did and then I said I wouldn`t blog every day but I often seem to and now after 5 months I have reached my 100th post.

To celebrate this small occasion, I have a small giveaway.

The winner will receive either this carnelian, Swarovski crystal and garnet necklace...

or this acquamarine and rainbow flourite chip with aventurine rondelles necklace...both are handmade by me...

and for my quilty readers who don`t yet have one, I have a copy of this for you as well...

and lastly this funky little porte-monnaie (purse or wallet) by Lup31, made from re-cycled flour sacks here in Marrakech...

So to participate in this giveaway, simply leave a comment below  -
  • specifying which necklace you would like
  • if you are not a quilter, or you are and you already have the book say so and I`ll send you a little something else from Marrakech
  • If you are a member of the Brit Quilt Group set up by Lynne at Lilly`s Quilts leave a separate comment saying so and you`ll get a bonus entry
  • lastly my family and I are off on our hols in a couple of weeks so a recommendation for a good beach read (nothing too light, nothing too heavy) would be great.  Don`t worry if you don`t have one, you can still play.
I`ll choose a winner on Friday June 24.
Thanks to everyone who drops by and leaves comments - I love every one of them.

Oh, I am the first one. I am a quilter, but already have the book. Would love something form Marrakech! For a fun, easy read, how about the Pioneer Woman's love story...
    Black Heels to Tractor Wheels
    Happy 100th post my friend...

I forgot, I don't have The farmer's wife sampler quilt book yet and would love to have one.

As for the book, you should read ; "Cutting for Stone" by Abraham Verghese. You will love this book.

The aquamarine necklace is definately my favourite!
A great book that I have just finished is the Aviators wife by Anita Shreve: took me a day and half to read, it was fantastic.
I love your montage: it is sunny and happy

Wow 100 posts in 5 months congrats! :)
Necklaces are beautiful, I love the 2nd one - the colours are lovely!
I am a quilter and don't have the Farmers Wife book yet.

Books: I liked this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Twenties-Girl-Sophie-Kinsella/dp/0552774367/ref=sr_1_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1308605342&sr=1-3 but it may be a little too light.
I recently read this one http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eat-Pray-Love-Womans-Everything/dp/0747585660/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1308605416&sr=1-1 too. Not as grabbing but not as chick lit like either!

Oooooh ooooh, fantabulous giveaway. Definitely love the first necklace. Can I recommend One Day by David Nicholls if you haven't already read it. If you have I loved 'The Help' by Kathryn Stockett. Both I would class as good summer reads. I don't have the FW book but I am thinking that is too generous a thing to give away so I'd be happy with anything really!

Happy 100th post! I love that green and purple necklace, it's just gorgeous! I wish I had a good book to recommend, but I've been mostly reading cookbooks and gardening books lately. :). And even though I'm a quilter and don't have that quilt book, I already have so many traditional quilt block books in my library. Have a fabulous vacation!

congratulations on your 100th post!!!! So many fabulous gifts, I think i'd have to go with the farmer wife quilt, but its a difficult decision!

Congratulations on your 100th post (it is bit addictive isn't it?) I've come over from Brit Quilt where I'm a member and am entranced to have found your lovely blog. I'm now following you.

    To your other questions :)
I love both your necklaces but the carnelian is a favourite stone of mine (and 'my colour' being a redhead) and that's the one I would love a chance to own, thank you.
I am a quilter (also an addiction) and would love to add the Farmer's Wife to my "to do" pile!
The little purse is gorgeous. I visited Marrakech for a week last year and had a lovely time but didn't see anything like that. While I was there I read Miranda Innes' "Cinnamon City" which I imagine you've already read. My recommendations for your reading list would depend on where you're going as I like to read something set where I am. You may not do the same but anyway I recommend Victoria Hislop's "The Island", Joanne Harris' "Sleep, Pale Sister" anything by Sarah Dunnant or Philippa Gregory ot Barbara Erskine and finally, a book I've just finished, Kate Morton's "The Forgotten Garden". Enjoy your holiday and thank you for the chance to win in your generous and yummy giveaway.

Oh how exciting! Well as I'm blonde like you I'd have to say necklace number two! I'm a quilter and would love the book too!
    What wonderful goodies you have!!
A good read - I just finished The Friday Night Knitting Club by Kate Jacobs which is light but I enjoyed it.
    Best wishes, Helen

Would love to check out the book.

Annabella, I told you I was going to hold out so I wasn't the first comment for a change! Now to answer your questions -
I love both the necklaces but the acquamarine would go with my pale freckled skin better.
I do not have the Farmer's Wives book and if I won it I would love to quilt along with you. Just may buy it myself anyway if I don't win it so we can do that.
Books I have enjoyed are many but here are three you may not have read: The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd; Suite Francaise by Irene Nemirovsky; Guernica by Dave Boling
The last two books might not be 'beach reads' but they are so well written that I thought I would recommend them anyway.
Right, time to go and leave comment number two!

Hi and congratulations on your 100th post. I love the aquamarine and rainbow necklace.I don't have The Farmers Wife book but dream about owning one so as a novice quilter I can gain more experience.

I think a good beach read would be The Hunt for Atlantis by Andy McDermott. It's the first of a series of books but well worth a read. I would never have read this book had my friend not recommended it but it's brilliant.

Good morning, Annabella! Congratulations on your achievement.Your blog is lively, full of interest, colour and a pleasure to follow.
In the last year I read 2 books that I would reccomend:

Lisa See - Snow Flower and the secret fan
Stella Gibbons - Cold comfort farm

If I ever were to win, I would love the aquamarine necklace that would go so well with my dark blue eyes.
Enjoy your holiday, I will miss you.

Well Annabella, what a generous giveaway, whether I win or not it is nice to meet a fellow Brit Quilt groupee.

I love both necklaces but the aquamarine is just gorgeous and is my birthstone too!!
I don not have a copy of The Farmer's wife book.
Books to read: how about a classic my favourite book is Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier - I could read it over and over or
absolutely anything by Alexander Mcall Smith, there is just something so very comforting and warm about them.
    Thank you.

Ochil_Lynz is having trouble putting a comment on so this one is for her! This is her comment from the Brit Quilt Flikr Group discussion area:

"I'm having trouble posting on your blog (I've had weird things happening once or twice the last few days commenting elsewhere *le sigh* ) but it's such a lovely blog I feel like a winner already having found it. Your photography is amazing!

P.S. Yeah, holiday reading? You can't beat some Jilly Coooper, I think. SO not my normal genre but I loves her dearly!!"
