Joy Pockets

It`s been another hot and fairly non-eventful week here in Marrakech so I have had to dig deep for some pockets of joy but they are there if you look hard.

 Joy Pockets
an unopened big fat envelope from the States
finding inside a tower of new pretty fabrics
Kumari Garden fabrics by Dena Designs for Freespirit
comparing my 3 year old`s efforts at removing his T shirt to Houdini extracating himself from a straitjacket
sitting with my husband on our bedroom balcony late at night
generous comments from incredibly talented women
the stillness of normally busy streets after the fast breaks
my son`s capacity to siest anywhere
a lovely recipe book and feeling inspired to cook something new
a cool shower in the heat of the day

Joining in with the weekly fun over at Monica`s.

Lovely photograph of your sleeping son.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to fall asleep anywhere!

I'm dead jealous of Zaki. Because he is so beautiful and more so his ability to sleep anywhere.

You find joy is so many things. What a wonderful outlook you have. The balcony is especially joyful. Z looks so sweet. There is nothing sweeter than a sleeping child!

Your son really is the cutest thing ever. Enjoy these moments - they pass so fast...before you know it he'll be looking cool wearing trousers that hang off his backside and having Justin Bieber hair...I know, it happened to me!

Today is my day for discovering wonderful new blogs - I found you after you won Diane's giveaway. Have enjoyed reading and looking here - Marrakesh is one of those places I've always wanted to visit, but haven't managed yet.

wonderful bundle of fabric and your beautiful little boy! Reminds me of my daughter so many years ago, curled up, thumb in mouth.

I love that you get to sit late night with your husband on the balcony, that is divine. I do not have a balcony but when ever we travel to Sedona, az, the our room at the hotel has a balcony and we sit out late into the night and have the most wonderful deep conversations. Thanks for triggering that memory for me! Have a fabulous weekend!

These are all so wonderful-what a great way for you and your husband to slow down from the day and connect with your nights on the balcony.
