That`s My World - The Sea Kelp Gatherer

Is this where those fancy pots of anti-aging creams begin? This woman is doing the back breaking work of collecting sea kelp on the Atlantic Coast of Morocco, which is then sold for use in cosmetics.

A Postcard from Sidi Bouzid #4

Sunset over El Jadida

We leave for home tomorrow after 15 days here in Sidi Bouzid.

Here`s another sunset (an orange one this time) over the coastal town of El Jadida. We were on our way to a cafe for an early evening smoothie of milk, ground almonds and avocado when the sky turned orange.  After grumbling aloud that I would love to take a photo my husband pulled over and I got this shot.  I like how you can see at least 3 mosques on the skyline and then a crane on the far left, with the figures on the beach almost reflecting the skyline.

One more cool evening, one more chilly morning then heat and more heat and days inside because it`s too hot to venture out.  Back to Marrakech.  See you on the other side...

Holiday Mosaic - Week 1

We have been on our hols one week now and we`re pretty settled here.  Tomorrow it`s my mum`s 70th birthday (she looks amazing for her age doesn`t she?) and we`re heading down the coast to Oualidia tomorrow to swim in the lagoon and eat fish.Yum.
Happy weekend everyone!
