Cucaracha!

A cockroach found on the street
My heartbeat actually increases as I look at his photo.  I find him quite vile. My 3 year old son on the other hand thinks he is `great` and would happily give him house room. Oh what is it about little boys?

Well if I`d titled the post ``cockroach` you might not have hopped over and visited! But thanks for doing so.

Linking up for the first time in a while with Macro Monday.

Metamorphosis

Today I signed up to the Creative Every Day Challenge over at Leah`s blog, Creative Every Day.  The challenge is yes, to do something creative every day.  As Leah says in her blog, it is creativity in its widest sense.  It can be art related but it can be cooking, playing with your kids, writing a poem, doodling, dancing...you get the idea.  So I think I can cope with that as I do at least two of those every day!  There`s a monthly theme - June`s is metamorphosis, and every Monday you can share your post or posts by linking up on Leah`s blog after signing up to the challenge.

So I thought we would have an orange update.

On March 15 it looked like this...

...and like this on May 4...

and today it looks like this...

Isn`t nature clever? For more creativity and changes of all kinds, head over to Creative Every Day. Also linking up with Macro Monday over at Lisa`s Chaos.

Macro Monday

My Uncle Campbell`s beloved accordion (which he plays fabulously well).

Back from a lovely weekend in Warwick where we stayed with my Uncle Campbell and Aunt Jan.  Hello and thanks to Jan who was my 2nd follower and still reads my blog.

I spent my first 18 years in leafy Warwickshire.  We lived in a Victorian farmworker`s cottage surrounded by fields in the middle of what seemed like nowhere but was in fact totally idyllic. I went to school in Stratford Upon Avon but it was Warwick where I socialized as a teenager.  It was a trip down memory lane to wander around its town centre on Saturday and walk in St.Nicholas` Park (St.Nick`s) on Sunday morning.  My advice on this wet and rainy Monday in Somerset? Forget expensive face creams.  Re-visit childhood haunts or have a squeeze on your accordion!
