the heat but after peeking at 42C yesterday it`s noticeably cooler today
my mosquito bites
waking up on Tuesday morning with a red heat rash all over my face
the layer of sandy dust everywhere in our house after a sandstorm yesterday
the death of our lap top from heat exhaustion
the lack of internet connection
a dead phone after a cable was cut
a To Do list a mile high
only 4 days `til we leave for England and little idea as to where I put our winter clothes
my Herringbone block for do.Good Stitches which was half an inch narrower on one side
my gorgeous son`s behaviour which is no doubt due to my foulest of moods
but I`ll show you a sneak peek of my friend Di`s strip for her quilt, which is all about words and blocks depicting those words. These images are completely meaningless as they give you no clue - you`ll just have to wait a year for the tah dah moment!

Lucky Di!!
Oh Annabella the weather is going to be a shock - but the weatherman has literally said it will be warming up next week - can't beat a May frost though!
Wow...I don't wish our weather was like that, just warm enough to not have a to wear a great huge coat would be nice!
Great looking sneaks there =D
Think we should all meet in Spain where the weather might just be right! And I have seen that block for Di and it is amazing!
I got to see it and it's fabulous!! Di's really going to love it!
Awww this stitch tease is driving me nuts!! So want to see what you're up to!
Yep the heating still on here - mid flaming May!!
The heat sounds like a movie or something. I wonder if I need to find warmer clothes for London too.
Yeah, hunt out those winter clothes lol
Eh! I would probably be a puddle right about now! Hang in there though. You will surely have cooler weather in England. :)
di loves the fabric and now I am excited to see something made for me!
I'm sorry your last few days have been UGH, shall I say hell? But, look on the bright side , you are going to FQ Retreat, you get to meet 5/8 of our group and I'll be here wishing I was there.
Love and safe travels. xo
Soak up that sun while you can!!
Love the sneaky peaks :)
OH DEAR!! I hope you find your winter clothes... or your purse will be taking a battering when you get here lol xx
You'll need to find a few winter clothes, as its cold and wet here - having said all that you may bring the summer sunshine with you!
Hopefully you will bring a wee bit of that lovely sunshine with you.....& good luck with the packing!
I'm with Sarah - I really, really want to see what you're all making!!!
P.S. Don't forget your scarf!!
love the colours of your sneak peek. The weather is here is starting to get a bit better, and whilst I would love some sun on my bones, it really must be draining in the heat you are having! Hopefully a break in the UK will be just what you need. Can't believe its only two weeks till we get to meet!
Holy crow...that is hot...the hens lay hard boiled eggs at that temp. (107.6F. ). I'd run away to England too!
Claudia said it was chilly in London this morning.....

wonderfully charming from here
but a major pain to live through
I still
envy you but I bet you have a wonderful time in England

Can't wait to finally meet up in London - where it will no doubt be cold and wet and we won't care a jot!
Hang in there! The points match beautifully.
All your worries are going to dissolve as soon as you arrive at the airposrt. Have a nice and relaxing time in England!
