Lucy over at
Charm About You is having a Fugly Party. The aim is to de-stash your unwanted fabric and either give it away or swap it. The fabric doesn`t necessarily need to be ugly just unwanted. Hop over to Lucy`s and see what`s on offer. If you fancy joining in and linking up at the Fugly Party, you have a chance to win a gorgeous Pezzy charm pack! Thanks Lucy.
My stash is hardly huge but in the past I have bought lines of fabric and I`m not sure why but designers always include a couple of fuglies. So first up is this FQ from Amy Butler`s Lark. Sorry Amy but I just don`t like it, which goes against the grain as I love Amy Butler`s designs!

Lark FQ by Amy Butler |
Second up are these 7 FQs of Pernilla`s Journey by Tina Givens. I don`t exactly dislike them but there is too much grey for my liking and the designs are large scale in all of the prints. I`m not a huge grey lover, you see (takes cover behind sofa).

Third up are these 2 scraps of Pernilla`s Journey from which I made a fabric envelope, so with these you would have the whole line.
So to enter the giveaway, leave a comment saying what line of fabric doesn`t get your vote. Please be constructive in your comment as we all have different tastes! You don`t need to be a follower to join in but if you like what you see then I would love you to follow. I will ship internationally. Do leave an email address if you are a no-reply blogger. I shall draw a `winner` on February 14.

I'm just not a Kaffe Fassett fan - I tried to like it!
I'm a follower too!
I,too, am not a huge Kaffee Fassett fan.
I have some Wilderness Trail flannel that I won, but don't like; my grandson is hoping I'll use it in his next quilt.
i dont like big prints, not huge on Kaffe either !!
I have also found that when I buy FQ bundles there are usually a few prints that I just don't like as much as the others. I personally didn't care for polka dots much or Denyse Schmidt fabrics (except some of the prints in Flea Market Fancy).
I really don't like Moda`s Circa 1934 by Cosmo Cricket :)
No particular lines I don't like but I'm not a fan of tiny dull flowers!
I'm not keen on the Amy Butler one either. it's a bit spermy.
Thanks for hosting such a great giveaway! I'm not a fan of dull, muddy colored country fabrics. :)
Thanks for the great giveaway!!
I have a love/hate thing going on with Alexander Henry. Some hit the mark with me and others... not so much. The good outweighs the bad, though!!
I have to agree with you. I hate the sherbet pips line. It was just over used.
No offence but please don't enter me in your giveaway - I just had to say that it's a good job I'd swallowed my mouthful of tea before I read Katie's comment - she's right!!
Ok, since you're brave enough to fess up to designs you don't like and even color trends then I guess I can too. I feel bad not liking Loulouthi. I love Anna Maria Horner, but I'm just not bohemian enough.
I really don't like Stitch in Time. Yuck.
Danny means a Stitch in Color...ha! Don't enter me, I'm trying to destash. I really offered some fugly for sure. Hadley will freak!
I'm not a big fan of Robyn Pandolph.
Not a fan of Dan Morris's Boo Crew. Not fun Halloween stuff.
I really like your fuglies A! I don't think there's any designer I deslike, cos when I see it made up into a quilt I always end up liking it!! Thanks for a great giveaway! Jxo
I just cannot get into Kaffe Fassett.
Please throw my name into the hat for all of the fabrics. I love them all, and will definitely put them to use. Thanks much!
I don't get the Sherbert Pips and Little Apples either. I think every sponsored blogger did 8 projects with each line and I am tired of looking at it.
I also don't get the Sherbet Pips thing, might be because I only have boys, but even for me they're a bit too cutesy.
Not loving the Rivoli line by Alexander Henry--- just too modern for my liking... In the recent past, I would have said "NO" to the thought of grey in a quilt, but lately, I have begun to love it! And I LOVE Pernilla's Journey--- even the name is so cute!! :-) Thank you for a chance to win!
oh i'd love your Pernilla`s Journey, I'm a long time follower and tbh, I'm a bit hmmmy on batiks, I love when other people use them but I cannot seem to buy the right ones to make my projects work, I know its not a design but a whole genre but still:O)
Im not a huge fan of novely prints, you know fabrics that look like an photo of an object. The kind you see in your fuddy duddy old quilt shop! Thanks for the giveaway :-)
I love Pernilla's Journey, so am definitely keeping everything crossed in hope of winning :)
I was having a look at what's coming to Fat Quarter Shop and I find it difficult to pick whole lines of fugly fabric - there's usually one or two redeeming prints! I must say though that I really dislike all the Halloween lines I've seen (except The Ghastlies and Nightshade of course!!)
Thanks for your gorgeous giveaway!
I agree these aren't "pretty" as they are, but I think cut up and added to the right prints, they would work wonderfully in a quilt.
My friends are crazy for Connecting Threads fabrics-but I just kind of think huh? for a lot of them.
You are right, there always seems to be a fugly in a range of fabric. Not keen on the sperm fabric either, think your other offering is quite interesting....and I like Pips and Apples.
Wow those 7FQ's you have a looking very fugly! You can see my chosen fuglies over on my blog. This Kaffe Fassett isn't overly popular
I wish I had fuglies to destash/swap. I happen to love all fabrics that I've bought :) I suppose if you buy bundles you get a few fuglies, but I've not purchased bundles before, only yards. I can say I dislike things with muddy colors or things that look like my pre-k niece would draw. I've seen a few...
fabulous fabrics - not fugly at all - I'd love to win them and put them to good use !! funny, I'm usually too busy thinking about the lines I love so I haven't really thought about the ones I don't ! but I'm not really a reproduction girl - they're a bit dark and muddy for me !
I can't think of one particular line, but I generally don't like dull coloured fabrics or ones that are too pink/flowery. I agree that print from the Lark line is not what I would have expected from Amy Butler but I still like it :)
I am too new to quilting to dislike something. My only true dislike is when I buy material (just not enough to do what I was planning) then go back to the store and just cant find any more :( I have a black and red paisly that I just cant find and love. While I could and would use any thing you send my way. And I am a follower.

I'm not at all entering for any of these beauts, but it's interesting reading your thoughts. These prints/print scales are so you if they were in brighter colors. Funny how it all has to work together to work at all.
I don't like dull colours, I'm a huge fan of brights.
well, since what I like is florals, either vintage-y or modern, what I don't like is... kitschy kitchen prints, overly cutesy animals (but bees are OK), and prints with a lot of text. Mainly at the moment I buy and am not making much, but I wouldn't say no to the Pernillas.
I follow you too.

I love Kaffe Fassett, but have a hard time using his prints in quilts because of the odd colors. Same thing with Anna Maria Horner - great prints, but they just don't work for me!
I am not a fan of the Amy Butler one, but love the rest! Thanks for the giveaway.
I don't understand the Civil War lines. But I love the sweet bright colors of Kate Spain, 2 Sisters, and others. Most fabrics I can make work, just not in what I originally intended.
I follow, love to read of your adventures so far away.
I do not like 30's fabric. Yours though, great!
I don't really like most civil war reprodutions like Blue Hill.

I do not care for Kaffe Fassett. I like bright colors but they always seem a little off and just plain weird most of the time. I have used a couple for small projects but just don't care for them in quilts.
I actually loves Aneela Hoey's line but I don't like the Sherbet Pips. Little Apples is ok.
These are like a 70s nightmare!
ANY batik should be banned x
Isn't it interesting what peoples pet hates are? I have also received some bundles with the obligatory fugly included - buying online I find it easier to create an entire project from something that's already been chosen to go together when you can't see the fabric in person. And those fugly ones do usually go with the group. When choosing in person, I choose from a wide range of lines, so just get the ones I like. There are not many lines that I don't like at least some of the fabrics - although American Jane is not amongst my purchases, and I'm not keen on feedsack reproductions.
Gosh all these Kaffe haters - I love his stuff...! Personally I am not a fan of romantic florals and I really struggle to like shabby chic pink floral stuff by Cath Kidston and Tanya Whelan. I rather like your Fuglies..
i'm a huge grey fan.. everything in life and in quilting! i dont get the civil war prints, so dull and anything batik. no no no
Being a newbie, I don't know much about designers, etc. But I'm not big on reds or pinks. I know, now I have to hide behind the sofa. But they are just an angry color for me.
I know many people love it, but I'm not much of a fan of Pear Tree. Just a little to "Easter" pastel colored for me. But the motifs are beautiful.
Is the giveaway for either/or or both? If either/or, I would love the Pernilla's Journey. I bought 2 yard of a bird type print to make into a dress for my youngest, but I need something for piping or accent on it. I would love to have those FQ's!!
Not a fan of Kaffe Fassett. Looks like I'm not the only one, LOL. I do like his polka dots.
I'm not drawn to civil war fabrics when I walk into a quilt shop...though people make them look great in a quilt, I'd just never buy them.
Thanks for a chance to win. I think that second bundle is adorable. =)
I totally agree that there are always a couple of fuglies in every fabric line! Although I'd gladly take your fuglies off your hands! And apparently I'm not alone in my ehhh feelings for Kaffe Fassett.
I don't have a particular line I don't like but I'm just not a fan of batiks. Thanks for the giveaway!
I don't like fuddy duddy fabrics that are in most British quilt shops sell. I thought I didn't like flowery stuff but I love cabbages and roses, oh and Kath kidston too.
I love the Pernilla fabric that you want to giveaway. Hope I win.
